Latvian Development

For Latvia's development ((ラトビア語:Latvijas attīstībai)) is a liberal political party in Latvia. The party was founded in 2013 by Einars Repše who was Prime Minister of Latvia between 2002 and 2004 and Minister of Finance between 2009 and 2010. Internationally the party is a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party, a grouping of centrist and liberal parties from across Europe.〔

On 29 November 2014 Juris Pūce was elected as new chairperson and a new political manifesto was adopted.〔http://www.aldeparty.eu/en/news/juris-puce-new-chairperson-latvijas-attistibai〕
With the adoption of the new manifesto For Latvia's development clearly defines itself as a liberal party that appreciates and values individual freedom and equal treatment before the law regardless of nationality, race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, or physical and mental abilities.
Pūce holds a Master’s degree from the University of Latvia Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics and Management. From 2010 to 2013, he was State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs. He previously also taught at the University of Latvia.
